The Chiropractor Is In

Cancio Chiropractic is the practice of Anton Cancio, DC, CCSP, a Chiropractic specialist who has over 20 years of experience in the Philippines and in the United States.

Dr. Cancio’s career started in 2002 in California. After graduating cum laude from the Palmer College of Chiropractic West, he gained extensive experience treating thousands of patients of all ages, from kids and adults with scoliosis, spondylosis, slipped discs, and bad posture, to athletes with sporting injuries, as well as individuals suffering from automobile accidents and work-related injuries.

In 2006, he earned his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) certificate after completing an additional one-year post-graduate course and training. Three years later, in 2009, he started Cancio Chiropractic in Manila and helped people in their pursuit of wellness.

A strong believer in patient education, Dr. Cancio takes an open and honest approach with his patients. He has seen that when armed with knowledge of how the spine works, properly guided with lifestyle choices, patients make smarter choices, enjoy better quality of life, and gain an edge over their body’s aging process.

Dr. Cancio is a founding board member of the Association of Professional Chiropractors of the Philippines, and is a certified Chiropractic specialist under the Philippine Institute of Traditional & Alternative Health Care of the Department of Health (PITAHC-DOH). He currently sits as a board member of the National Certification Committee for Chiropractic. In the United States, he is licensed by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE), the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners (CBCE), and the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP).

The Doctor of Chiropractic difference.

Want to see a Chiropractor? Look for these credentials: 1) a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, 2) a certification that they’ve passed both the state and national board exams in the country they studied in, and 3) a certification to practice in the country they are currently in. All of these ensure that they are legitimately educated in Chiropractic and that they’ve passed several certifications to practice.

Dr. Cancio’s DC degree means he is able to diagnose a patient, refer them to other healthcare providers, and dialogue with their Doctors of Medicine (orthopedic doctors, neurologists, rehabilitation doctors) on a medical level.

In addition, Dr. Cancio’s Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) certificate legitimizes Sports Chiropractic as his subspecialty, making him highly adept and experienced in addressing athletes’ unique needs.

What you put in your body and how well you take care of it—that’s what you’ll also get out of it.
